มีผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความประสบความสำเร็จในหน้าที่การงานก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งเหตุผลที่ทำให้บางคนไม่คิดว่าจะต้องมีความสัมพันธ์อีก ยิ่งเมื่อคนมีอายุมากขึ้น ประสบความสำเร็จในชีวิต มีเงินทอง มีหน้าที่การงานที่ดี จะทำให้คนได้เข้าไปอยู่ในคอมฟอร์ตโซนหนึ่ง ซึ่งการจะออกมาจากโซนนั้นเพื่อมองหาสิ่งใหม่ ๆ อย่างความสัมพันธ์ ก็เป็นเรื่องที่ยากขึ้น เปรียบเทียบกับการนอนสบาย ๆ อยู่ที่บ้าน กับการออกไปข้างนอก หลาย ๆ คนก็เลือกจะพักผ่อนอยู่ที่บ้านนั่นแหละ

ถ้าสาว ๆ คนไหนยังมีพฤติกรรมตามสาเหตุที่ว่ามาข้างบนแล้ว เห็นทีว่าคุณอาจจะต้องปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมกันหน่อยแล้วล่ะ ไม่อย่างนั้นคงจะต้องนกอยู่ร่ำไป
